Apple Watch Tennis Tracker

With Smashpoint iOS version 1.6 or newer and an Apple Watch you can track your own tennis match from your wrist. Start a new tennis match directly with your watch and begin tracking. With a few simple tabs the watch will collect professional tennis stats such as winners, unforced and forced errors, breakpoints, double faults, aces and a lot more.

Tips and Tricks
• Turn on “Wake Screen on Wrist Raise” in Settings > General > Wake Screen
• Make sure “Airplane” mode is off and you are connected to your iPhone
• Set your watch brightness to maximum in Settings > Brightness

Roger Federer Preview 2017

Das Tennisjahr 2017 wird bei den Herren mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit das spannendste Tennisjahr des letzten Jahrzehnts.

Es gibt viele offene Fragen – aber 2 werden die Saison dominieren. Wie wird Djoko mit seiner für ihn sehr ungewohnte Situation – nämlich mehr als nur verwundbar zu sein – umgehen? Tatsache ist, dass die Anzahl der Gegner, die ihn schlagen können, seit Wimbledon, Rio, US Open .. und zuletzt Shanghai – größer denn je geworden ist. Nicht, dass es sie in den letzten Jahren nicht auch schon gegeben hat, aber der Nimbus des Unbezwingbaren hat ihm in manchen engen Situationen geholfen. Und mit jeder Niederlage wird sein oft überhöhtes Selbstvertrauen einen Knacks bekommen. Und in den Startlöchern warten nicht nur seine alten Rivalen – nein, da warten ein paar ganz hungrige junge Spieler, die mit sehr viel Talent und Können ausgestattet sind.

Die zweite Frage wird durch das Auftreten des uneingeschränkten Königs des weltweiten Tennispublikums sein. Roger Federer. Auch wenn seit Jahren Experten ihm kein Masters – geschweige denn ein Grand Slam-Sieg zutrauen, so darf man nicht übersehen, dass die härtesten Finali, die Djoko in den letzten Jahren zu bestreiten hatte, meist gegen Federer waren. Und nicht nur einmal hat er mit viel Glück gewonnen. Federer wird sehr gut vorbereitet auf der Tennisbühne erscheinen – und wenn ihn nicht wieder die alte Verletzung zu schaffen macht, wird er sehr schnell wieder unter den 4 Musketieren seinen Platz haben. Djoko, Nadal, Federer – das muss man sich einmal vergegenwärtigen – alle 3 sind alleinige Inhaber von Tennis-Weltrekorden – und sie spielen seit einem Jahrzehnt (und mehr) gegeneinander. Diese Dichte an Tennisgrößen hat es in der Tennisgeschichte noch nie gegeben. Und noch sind sie es, die die Ränge von großen Stadien füllen.

Es würde mich also nicht sehr verwundern, wenn am Ende des Tennisjahres 2017 die „alte“ Rangordnung wieder hergestellt sein wird. Djoko, Murray, Federer, Wawrinka, Nadal – die Reihenfolge spielt dabei keine Rolle – sie sind alle für sich absolute Weltklasse – und – es wird wahrscheinlich keinen Seriensieger mehr geben.
