Connect an AI agent with MCP

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how an AI agent reads your Smashpoint data directly, so you can ask it about your matches instead of digging through the app yourself. Set it up once from the web app.

Generate your API key

1. Sign in at app.smashpoint.pro and open Settings.
2. Find the MCP API Key card and click Generate API Key.
3. Copy the key. It starts with `sp_`, and Smashpoint doesn’t show it again after you leave the page — generate a new one with Regenerate if you lose it.

Connect Claude

1. In Claude, go to Customize, then Select Connectors.
2. Choose Add New, then Add custom connector.
3. Give it a name, and enter the URL: `https://mcp.smashpoint.pro`.
4. Paste the API key you generated.

Once it’s connected, ask Claude about your Smashpoint data in the same conversation, no copying and pasting stats back and forth.

Other AI agents

The connector uses a standard, open protocol (MCP over OAuth), so any AI agent that supports adding a custom MCP connector the same way can connect to `https://mcp.smashpoint.pro` with the same API key.

Good to know

• Revoke a key any time. Back on the MCP API Key card in Settings, Revoke disconnects every agent using that key immediately. Generate a new one to reconnect.
• It only sees what you can see. Connecting doesn’t grant any new access — an agent using your key can ask about exactly what you could look up yourself in the app.
• Some questions need Pro. Connecting is free for everyone; see What you can ask an AI agent for what’s included on Free and what needs Pro.
