Compare players side by side

Compare, under Insights in the web app, is for the decisions that used to be arguments: who plays number one, which pair to put together, who’s improved most since spring. It shows up to four players in columns and every stat in rows, using only this Organization’s results.

Steps

1. Open Compare. Click Select player and pick a member; the picker shows each member’s match count. Add a second player and the table appears. Add up to four.
2. Choose the period at the top left: All time, 12 months, or a specific year. Compare shows a tab for each year your selected players have matches in, with the match count behind it.
3. Leave Highlight best on to get a green chip on the best value in each row (lower is better for double faults, unforced errors, and forced errors). Switch on Differences only to hide rows where everyone is equal and see just the gaps.
4. Remove a player with the × on their card, or swap them for someone else.

The URL updates as you go, so you can send a comparison to another coach by copying the address.

What’s compared

• Record: matches, singles W–L, doubles W–L, win rate, time on court.
• Rating: Smashpoint ELO, trend over the last 10 matches, hard court ELO, rated matches.
• Serve: aces, double faults, 1st serve in, 1st serve points won, service games won.
• Return & pressure: break point conversion, break points saved, return games won, tiebreaks W–L, deciding sets W–L.
• Shots: winners, unforced errors, forced errors, winner/UE ratio.

A dash means there isn’t enough tracked data for that stat. Serve, pressure, and shot rows fill in as matches are tracked with the point-level styles; record and rating rows work from logged scores alone.

Who leads the club in one stat

Compare answers “how do these players stack up”. For “who is best at X across the whole club”, open Rankings and switch to Leaders. It ranks every member by a single stat (win rate, aces per match, 1st serve in, break-point conversion, tiebreak win rate, winners and unforced errors per match, winner/UE ratio), singles or doubles, for the season or the last 12 months. A player needs a minimum sample for that stat (more matches for some stats than others) before they appear, so one hot week can’t outrank a season. Select rows there and jump into Compare with them.

Good to know

• Organization results only. Compare and Leaders use matches recorded to this Organization. A member’s personal matches elsewhere aren’t included.
• Who sees it. Compare and Rankings are under Insights and available to members; the Dashboard under Admin is for Owners and Admins.
• Track to see more. If most rows show a dash, your matches are being logged as scores. Tracking with Points or a deeper style fills the serve, pressure, and shot rows.
