How Organization billing works

Organization billing is designed for programs where many people follow and fewer people play. The Billing page in the Admin section shows your plan, this month’s active players, and the member roles table.

What you pay for

• Active players. A member counts as active in a month if they played: a match, a practice session, or a tournament. Each plan includes a number of active players; beyond that, a per-player rate applies for that month only. See who counted on the Billing page lists them.
• Roles that can play (Owner, Admin, Coach, Full) are the only ones that can become active. View members follow results, rankings, members, and profiles and are always free. Guests are free too.
• Plans come by tier (single location, multi-location, and enterprise or federation) and by term (monthly or annual; annual is discounted). Current prices and what each tier includes are on the Pricing page.

Steps: set up billing

1. Go to Billing and choose Change plan to pick a tier and term.
2. Add a payment method: Add payment and subscribe while you’re on the trial, or Manage payment once you’re subscribed. Cards are handled by Stripe; Smashpoint doesn’t store card details.

Good to know

• Trial. 14 days of every feature, no card required. The Billing page shows how long is left.
• After the trial without a plan, the Organization is read-only: everything stays visible, nothing new can be recorded, and nothing is deleted. Subscribe and recording resumes.
• Pro is included for every member who can play, for as long as they’re in the Organization. They don’t need a personal Pro subscription.
• Predictable cost. Because only playing members count, a school with 60 followers and 12 players is billed on its 12 active players, not on all 72 people. Adding parents and supporters as View costs nothing.
• Cancelling. Cancel subscription on the Billing page stops renewal; the Organization goes read-only at the end of the period. Deleting the Organization (Settings › Danger Zone) is permanent and does not refund a paid subscription.
