Member roles explained: Owner, Admin, Coach, Full, View

Every member of an Organization has exactly one role. Roles control what a person can manage and whether they can play. The table below is the same one shown on your Billing page.
The five roles

Choosing a role
- Players are Full. They can be added by email (they’re invited and join when they accept) or by name only if they won’t sign in themselves.
- Assistant coaches are Coach if they run practices; Admin if they also manage the roster and events.
- Parents, supporters, and staff who don’t play are View. They follow everything and cost nothing.
- A second Owner is good practice, so the Organization isn’t tied to one person’s login. Owners are managed under Settings › Owner Accounts.
Guest Opponents
A Guest is not a member. It’s a player from outside your Organization, added with no account or email, so outside opponents can appear in your match results and your record stays complete. Guests are free and can’t be added to ladders, tournaments, practices, groups, or events. Convert a Guest to Full if they join the program.
Good to know
- “Can play” is what you’re billed for. You pay only for members who actually played in a given month, in a match, a practice, or a tournament. A Full member who didn’t play that month isn’t counted. View members are never counted.
- Every playing role includes Pro. Owner, Admin, Coach, and Full members all have Smashpoint PRO while they’re in the Organization.
- Change a role any time from the member’s row on the Members page.
