Good to know for Parents & Trackers

The questions parents and trackers ask most: who can see your player’s data, what Pro covers, which matches you can track, and where the results end up.

Privacy

• Private by default. Nothing is visible to anyone until you connect with a person or share a match. Outside those choices, your player’s data is not visible to anyone.

Pro and cost

• Following is free; tracking needs Pro. Watching your player’s matches, stats, rankings, head-to-heads, and Match Profiles never needs Pro. Tracking a match yourself, courtside or otherwise, does, same as it does for any tracker. It’s included at no cost if your player belongs to a club, school, or academy Organization, or shared across your family through Apple Family Sharing if you bought Pro through the App Store.
• One Pro purchase for the whole family. Pro bought through the App Store is shared with your Apple Family via Family Sharing, so two parents tracking on two iPhones only pay once.

Tracking and results

• You can track any match. Umpiring, or keeping score for a friend’s kid? Track it the same way. The result and stats go to both players’ records.
• Results follow the player, not the tracker. When your child has an account and is connected to you, matches tracked by any connected person land in the child’s record. Two parents and a coach can all track and nothing ends up split across accounts.

Apple Watch and Apple TV

• Your player on Apple Watch. If your player wants to score their own matches from the court, the Apple Watch app is the easiest way. Logging their own matches takes Pro, which is included if they play in a club or program that runs on Smashpoint.
• Apple TV is free. It’s viewing, so it never needs Pro.
