Two parents, two players, two courts at once

Two kids playing at the same time, and two parents who each want to track? If you and your partner each want to track a different child, or the same child on different days, you each use your own Smashpoint account and connect the two accounts.

Steps

Step 1: Connect the two accounts

In each account, go to Players and add the other parent as a player using their email address. Smashpoint sends an invite; accept it and the two accounts are connected. From then on, a match either of you tracks shows up for both of you, and both children’s records stay complete no matter who was holding the phone.

Step 2: Add both children in each account

Add both children as players in each account so either of you can start either match.

Step 3: Track on the day

One parent tracks one match and the other parent tracks the other, each on their own phone.

Step 4: Connect with your child, if they have an account

If your child has their own Smashpoint account, connect with them too (add their email address to their player entry, same as above). You can do this later as well: everything tracked under their name before is merged into their account once it’s connected. Then every match anyone tracks for them, whether it’s you, your partner, or a coach, is associated with the child’s account. All their results, ratings, and head-to-heads are linked to the right person, regardless of who was holding the phone.

Good to know

• Tracking needs Pro, for both of you. If you bought Pro through the App Store, Apple Family Sharing covers everyone in your Family: one purchase, and both parents (and the children, if they have accounts) have Pro.
• Results follow the player, not the tracker. When your child has an account and is connected to you, matches tracked by any connected person land in the child’s record. Two parents and a coach can all track and nothing ends up split across accounts.
